Au pairs are from a foreign country and are seeking the unique cultural experience of living with a host family and sharing in daily family life.
Where they speak a language different to the host country, the au pair experience also provides the chance to improve foreign language skills.
Au pairs help the family with childcare and light housework in exchange for their bedroom, meals (room and board) and weekly allowance.

“Demi” a French term meaning half (half time Au pair) – a demi pair is like an au pair, they live with your family and assist with childcare and light household duties within a “cultural exchange” arrangement.
A demi pair is the holder of a Student Visa therefore they are required to attend school and usually study English language and can assist your family for up to 20 hours per week
They have less time to assist with childcare than our typical au pairs and generally fit a family with school age children wanting before/after school help.
