In the majority of cases, the au pair is responsible for all international travel costs.

The family pays for any travel beyond their closest international airport to smaller cities/towns, and transport from the airport to their house (eg hire car or taxi if they can’t meet their au pair).

Some families may choose to pay for their au pair’s arrival or departure flight, to help her arrive more quickly, or to reward a successful placement.

Demi pair – In the majority of cases, the demi pair is responsible for all international travel costs and will organise and pay for their own study commitments.
