All JCR au pairs are required to complete an in-depth application process to prove their commitment and suitability for our au pair placements.

We find our au pairs are highly motivated on the decision to join a caring host family in Australia – and many of our au pairs have been planning this trip for many years.

We personally select and verify the suitability of each of our au pair in line with your requirements and lifestyle. You are a busy parent. We really don’t want to waste your time with applicants that probably don’t meet your needs.

Rather than send you dozens of au pair profiles and then wish you the best of luck, JCR does its very best to present a carefully selected shortlist of au pairs for you to choose from, that aims to meet your requirements and lifestyle. You then choose who you would like to interview and we assist you throughout every stage.

All JCR au pairs undergo an extensive screening process which includes:

• Interview and screening for their suitability, motivation and commitment
• Approved and reference-checked childcare / babysitting / nanny experience
• English language testing to meet our conversational requirements
• Police and medical checks
• Character references
• Evidence of education attainment, any childcare training, drivers licence, First Aid, or other relevant qualifications
