Food – providing meals and snacks every day for your au pair while in your home & out ‘n about with your family. Your au pair can purchase extra of her favourite items if she wants more.
Car insurance – including your au pair on your policy if you want her to drive. This can be costly depending on insurer.
Car use – collecting your au pair from the airport; driving her to the train station, friends’ houses, shops, airport. If you don’t have access to good public transport, you will need to provide your au pair with use of a car in her free time.
Takeaway & restaurant meals – include your Au Pair when your family dines out
Family day trips on weekends and holidays if your au pair wants to join you
Your time – settling in your new Au Pair, getting to know her, weekly chats about her duties and any challenges
Extra utilities – power, gas, water, internet
Bed linen and towels. Au Pair will pay for her own clothing, toiletries and other personal items
Optional – mobile phone/sim card, public transport pass, gym membership
An au pair is mostly paid in room and board (own bedroom and all meals provided). They are also given an allowance from $225 plus a week *
*As agreed between au pair and family – dependent on age, experience and number of hours help needed, from < 25 hours to 35 hours.
We will assist your Au Pair arrange and pay for her visa, health/travel insurance and flight to your closest international airport. Families meet their au pair at the arrival airport, and pay for any transit costs beyond the international gateway.

Registration materials that will be required:
• Completed Registration Form including approximate weekly schedule
• Photos of your family, home, and au pair’s room
• Contact details of someone who will provide a character reference for your family and home
• Copy of photo identification of all adults living in the home (drivers licence or passport)
• A police check of all adults living in the home.
